Annalisa Occhipinti is a Professor at Teesside University, where she works at the intersection between AI and Biology. Her current research topics involve the integration of metabolic modelling and multi-modal deep learning techniques for biomedical and bioprocessing applications.

Annalisa has recently received several awards for her contributions in the field of AI, big data, and cancer research, including an award from the Italian Embassy and the University of Cambridge. She is currently leading various research projects funded by BBSRC and EPSRC, developing AI models for healthcare applications and bioprocessing optimisation in collaboration with industrial partners.
